HearthGlow Support

Check the selected scene’s sound setting and volume in Preferences, then check your device volume and audio output. Not every scene has sound: Candles and Jack O’Lantern are intentionally silent. Music playback is separate from scene audio and stays with your selected music app.

Select Ambient Music, turn Microphone on, and allow access when prompted. Increase Intensity if you want a stronger response. On iPhone or iPad, check Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. On Mac, check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone. If input stops, toggle Microphone off and on. The scene continues to evolve even without sound or permission.

In Preferences, choose a service under Music Player Control. Open that music app and start a track, then return to HearthGlow. Follow any Connect or Enable prompt in the floating player. Spotify on iPhone and iPad requires the Spotify app and authorization. Previous and Next can depend on the current queue and the service’s restrictions.

On Mac, both Music and Spotify may need Automation permission. Music-service authorization and some artwork or playback features may require an internet connection.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Automation. Under HearthGlow, allow control of the selected Music or Spotify application. If HearthGlow is not listed, return to its music controller and use the Enable action to request permission. Open the selected music app if prompted.

On Mac, open Plexamp, enable its Remote Control setting, and start playback. HearthGlow controls the local player; Plexamp remains responsible for downloaded music and offline playback. Album artwork may not be available.

Full Plexamp integration on iPhone and iPad is still being worked on. Use Open Plexamp and its own playback controls. On supported iPads, keep Plexamp beside HearthGlow using Windowed Apps, Split View, or Stage Manager. Availability depends on your iPad and system version.

Drag the floating controller to a convenient place. HearthGlow remembers its position. To hide it, set Music Player Control to None in Preferences. This does not stop music already playing in the other app.

Open Preferences, find Support HearthGlow, and choose Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the original purchase and an internet connection. Support HearthGlow is an optional one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Close and reopen HearthGlow, check that the relevant permission is enabled, and try again. If the issue continues, email support with the steps that reproduce it. The visual scenes work offline, but purchases and some music-service features need a connection.
